Guildford Philanthropy, a Fund proudly managed by CFSurrey, recently marked its 10th anniversary with a year of significant achievements, reflecting its dedication to supporting the local community.
Since its inception, Guildford Philanthropy has championed initiatives that foster inclusivity and social equality. The 10th anniversary year in 2024 was particularly noteworthy, with several impactful milestones:
- Grants totalling over £100,000 were awarded to 16 local charities, addressing critical needs across the borough.
- Eight new Corporate Ambassadors joined the programme, bringing the total to an impressive 41, showcasing the strength of local business support.
- Cumulative funds raised surpassed £1.5 million, a testament to the community’s generosity and commitment.
- The endowment fund exceeded £1 million, ensuring a sustainable income stream for future grant-giving.
- The total value of grants awarded since the Fund’s inception surpassed £500,000.
- The year culminated with the spectacular Mistletoe Ball, held in partnership with the Mayor of Guildford, raising over £75,000 for local charities.
A Year of Memorable Events
Guildford Philanthropy’s 10th anniversary was celebrated with a series of events, each bringing together supporters, beneficiaries, and the wider community:
- In March, Stevens & Bolton hosted an evening reception for Corporate Ambassadors, fostering connections and sharing success stories.
- June saw a gathering at Guildford Castle, where over 100 attendees, including donors and representatives from grant-recipient charities, celebrated the Fund’s first decade of impact.
- In September, Corporate Ambassadors reconvened at a reception in the historic Guildhall, reflecting on the year’s achievements.
- December’s Mistletoe Ball at G-Live welcomed over 300 guests and provided a stunning finale to the anniversary celebrations.
