The Fund will be used to award grants to non-profit organisations (including charities, social enterprises, community groups and voluntary organisations) that meet the following criteria:
- To relieve elderly, sick, disabled and other persons in need of care in Runnymede and the surrounding areas by providing support, training and advice to their carers.
Grants may fund existing services or facilities and new initiatives and can contribute to either capital costs such as funding new equipment or support on-going running costs.
Grants will usually be up to £2,000 per organisation.
Examples of grants from the fund:
A sum of £5,000 was awarded to Runnymede and Spelthorne Citizens Advice Bureau to enable support for individual carers.
