Through the benefit of last year’s successful Forestry Commission’s Treescapes fund, Surrey County Council was able to work with schools, partners and community groups to deliver the planting of around 30,000 new trees across Surrey.
This is what Surrey County Council is saying about the programme:
“If you as a charity or voluntary organisation own, or have a formal lease agreement on land and you are interested in receiving free trees to plant, please complete the form below.
Working with our partners is a core part of Surrey’s Tree Strategy, so we hope you would consider being involved next planting season.
Tree planting can offer many benefits, including:
- Reduced air pollution
- Reduced noise pollution
- Carbon sequestration and storage
- Improved mental well-being
- Providing habitat and food for wildlife
- Improved water drainage
- Providing shade
…and more!
Please fill out our quick Microsoft Form here https://forms.office.com/r/GMUd5EaPgZ Please submit before July 18th 2022.”
