  • About

Since formation in 2012, the Woking Community Fund - an area fund of independent registered charity Community Foundation for Surrey - has awarded over £138,000 in grants to local charities and causes in Woking.

Until June 2024, every pound donated to the Woking Community Fund goes even further with matched funding of up to £4000, which has been made available thanks to Surrey County Council and Community Foundation for Surrey.

This simply means that, with your help, raising £4,000 becomes £8,000, and we are, therefore, able to support more worthy causes and charities, particularly during these trying and challenging times.

There is also the opportunity to help by volunteering in Woking, and we are looking for interested community members to help us make a difference in our town. If you think you could spare time and/or skills and advice to local organisations, please email [email protected] to find out more.

The Need

The Woking Community Fund is a fund specifically for the benefit of Woking and its residents, the Fund makes it easy for local residents to support the breadth of local needs by:

  • Exclusively supporting local community projects
  • Pooling donations from companies, individuals and families to make a bigger impact
  • Providing a sustainable source of funding to support the evolving community needs
  • Developing the capacity to respond to local issues as they arise

This is a long-term fund that people can either donate to now, or leave a legacy to in the future. Donations can be made at any level, either as one-off donations or spread over a period of time. They can be donated as gifts of cash, legacies, shares, property or land.
