Dr Beccy Bowden

Beccy has extensive experience in the third sector. She was Chief Executive of youth charity SATRO from 2008 to 2017 and CEO of Heathrow Community Trust from 2015 to 2021. She has also held a wide range of voluntary roles, including Chair of Headway Surrey; Trustee of Advanced Humanitarian Operational Solutions CIO; Non-Executive Director at Providence Row Housing; Trustee of the Engineering Development Trust; and Independent Custody Visitor at the Surrey Police & Crime Commissioner’s Office.

Prior to entering the voluntary sector, Beccy was a research scientist specialising in antibiotic-resistant bacteria. She then spent 13 years as a senior civil servant, working across various government departments in the UK and overseas.

Beccy works closely with the Trustees to drive the Foundation’s development and growth.
