Over 20,000 Surrey Lives will be benefitted through our Second Main Grant Round

More than 20,000 Surrey residents are set to benefit from the Community Foundation for Surrey’s latest Main Grant Round, which has awarded £430,880 across 64 local projects that bring hope, connection, and opportunity to communities across the county.

We are especially pleased to see eleven groups receive their first grant from CF Surrey including:

Children Heard and Seen – to support children in Surrey with a parent in prison, this funding means emotional support, mentoring, and safe spaces to talk

Lingfield & Dormansland Meals on Wheels – For elderly and housebound residents unable to cook for themselves, hot meals delivered with care make every day brighter

All Saints Church South Merstham to set up a drop-in Youth Café to support vulnerable young people to connect and build confidence

Inclusive Intergenerational Dance (IID) Dance for Parkinson’s classes in Reigate are keeping people moving — both physically and emotionally

“Thank you very much for the award for the Dance for Parkinson’s Classes in Reigate, we are really very grateful. This will ensure the continuation to the classes which are bringing together people living with Parkinson’s and their partners/ carers for weekly dance classes. The dance classes provide exercise and creativity, which is hugely beneficial to people with Parkinson’s, working on flexibility, strength, rhythm, fluidity of movement and expression as well as providing an important social connection.”

The chart below showing the distribution of grant funding by primary issue, highlights Isolation and Loneliness (19%) received the largest share of funding — showing a strong focus on tackling social disconnection and rebuilding community ties. This was closely followed by Poverty and Disadvantage (18%) and Life Skills and Aspirations (18%) showing that most grants directly target reducing isolation, alleviating hardship, and improving future prospects for Surrey residents.

Areas of Impact: CF Surrey Grant Round 2

Thanks to the generosity of local donors and the dedication of community groups CF Surrey continues to restore hope, build resilience, and strengthen the social fabric of Surrey’s towns and villages.

We are equally proud of our repeat grant recipients and look forward to hearing from new and familiar groups when Expressions of Interest open for the first round of 2026 on 17th November.
